Personal data collected
Depending on how you interact with the Site, we may collect:
We do not collect sensitive personal data and we ask you not to send us any.
Purposes of processing
Personal data is processed in order to: process and track your orders, manage deliveries, returns and refunds; handle warranty and after-sales service requests; respond to your requests and provide customer service; manage newsletter subscriptions where you have consented to them; ensure the security of the Site and prevent fraud; improve the content and performance of the Site; and comply with our legal and accounting obligations.
Legal basis
Depending on the situation, processing is based on your consent, the performance of a contract or of pre-contractual measures, the legitimate interest of SIFI BEAUVOIS in ensuring the proper functioning and improvement of the Site, or compliance with legal obligations.
Recipients and processors
SIFI BEAUVOIS does not sell, rent or transfer your personal data. Certain data is processed by trusted providers acting on our behalf, exclusively for the purposes described in this policy:
When you choose to pay for your order with Klarna or with PayPal, your data is transmitted to that provider, which does not act on our behalf but is the controller of its own processing. For Klarna, this is Klarna Bank AB (publ), Sveavägen 46, 111 34 Stockholm, Sweden, which processes your data in particular for creditworthiness assessment, management of the payment schedule and fraud prevention; its privacy notice is available at https://www.klarna.com/international/privacy-policy/. For PayPal, this is PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., 22-24 Boulevard Royal, L-2449 Luxembourg, whose privacy statement is available at https://www.paypal.com/ie/legalhub/privacy-full. As both providers are established in the European Union, these transmissions do not constitute transfers outside the European Union.
When you browse the Site and where you have consented to it, certain data relating to your browsing and your purchases – pages viewed, cart contents, orders, technical identifier and, where applicable, your email address in hashed form – is transmitted to Meta Platforms Ireland Limited through the Meta pixel, Advanced Matching, the Conversions API and the associated advertising technologies, implemented through the Facebook and Instagram sales channel of Shopify. The purpose of this processing is to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns and to show you relevant advertising on Meta platforms. For the collection of this data and its transmission to Meta, SIFI BEAUVOIS and Meta act as joint controllers within the meaning of Article 26 of the General Data Protection Regulation; the essence of the arrangement between them can be made available to you on request at contact@sifibeauvois.com. Meta remains solely responsible for the subsequent processing it carries out on its own behalf, under the terms of its privacy policy available at https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy/. You may withdraw your consent at any time through the cookie management banner of the Site.
As the Site is hosted on the Shopify platform, the data you transmit through the Site is hosted and processed by Shopify on our behalf, for the purposes of providing and improving the service. To find out more about how Shopify processes your data and the associated rights, you can consult the Shopify privacy policy: https://www.shopify.com/legal/privacy.
Transfers outside the European Union
Some of our providers and partners (in particular Shopify, Klaviyo and Meta) are established outside the European Union or may transfer data outside it, in particular to the United States. In such cases, these transfers are governed by appropriate safeguards within the meaning of Chapter V of the GDPR: standard contractual clauses adopted by the European Commission, or a transfer to an entity certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, or to a country benefiting from an adequacy decision. A copy of the applicable safeguards can be obtained on request at contact@sifibeauvois.com.
Retention periods
Personal data is retained only for as long as necessary for the purposes pursued. Contact requests are in principle retained for up to twelve months. Newsletter data is retained until you unsubscribe and, in any event, for a maximum of three years from your last contact with us (a click on a link in one of our messages, a request to our customer service, or an order); at the end of that period, it is deleted or you are invited to confirm that you wish to remain subscribed. Order data is retained for as long as necessary to perform the contract, then archived in accordance with applicable legal and accounting obligations (in particular ten years for accounting records). Audience measurement data from the analytics tools of the Shopify platform is retained in accordance with the periods applied by Shopify and, in any event, for no longer than twenty-five months. Data transmitted to Meta for advertising technologies is retained by Meta for the periods indicated in its own privacy policy. Beyond that, data is deleted or anonymized.
Data security
Appropriate technical and organizational measures are implemented to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, alteration or disclosure. However, no transmission or storage system can be entirely secure.
Cookies
The Site uses cookies and similar technologies to ensure that it functions properly and, subject to your consent where required, to analyze its use, improve its performance, measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns and show you relevant advertising on Meta platforms (Facebook, Instagram). Non-essential cookies are only placed after your consent has been obtained through the store's cookie management banner. You may manage or withdraw your consent at any time through that tool or through your browser settings.
Your rights
In accordance with applicable regulations, you have the right of access, rectification, erasure and restriction of processing, the right to object to certain processing, and the right to data portability where it applies. Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time.
You also have the right to give directives concerning the fate of your personal data after your death, in accordance with Article 85 of French Law no. 78-17 of January 6, 1978, as amended.
To exercise your rights, you may write to us at contact@sifibeauvois.com or by post to SIFI BEAUVOIS SAS, 7 rue des Bernardines, 25300 Pontarlier, France. Proof of identity may be requested where there is reasonable doubt as to your identity. We respond within one month of receiving your request, a period that may be extended by two months for complex requests.
If, after contacting us, you consider that your rights are not being respected, you may lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the Commission Nationale de l'Informatique et des Libertés (CNIL), 3 place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07, or online at www.cnil.fr.
